No Rest For the Wicked! Fashion Front Row and The Late Shows

The past week has been one of the craziest and most exciting yet for F6.Studios, with a collaboration for NE1's Newcastle Fashion Week's 'Front Row' catwalk on Wednesday, planning a street catwalk on Northumberland Street, and our 'Are You a Night Owl?' event as a part of The Late Shows 2014 tomorrow! Unfortunately due to weather warnings we've had to postpone the 'Alternative Street Catwalk' until Jul/Aug but fear not, this only gives us the chance to make it bigger, better, and hopefully with much nicer (and more predictable) weather!

Firstly we had fashion fever on Wednesday with NE1 Newcastle Fashion Weeks 'Fashion Front Row', which for the first time was held in Tiger Tiger to make room for a longer runway and more seats. The F6.Studios cruise collection combined each designers specialist skills to create carefully crafted garments full of vibrant colours and luscious textures. We had vivid rainbow silks by Kahtash, primary colour luxury handwoven fabric by Bayly and some impressive tailored pattern cutting by Bad Kitty. With so much to do in so little time, Galvan kindly stepped in too, working his magic to create a truly striking dress from Kahtash's silk which went down a storm! Check out the official pictures of the collection by Dan Graham Photography (last image by photographer Peter Reed):

Studio resident Melanie Kyles also took part in a collaboration with luxury lingerie favourites Tallulah Love and headwear Dimesso Designs. The collection was an elaborate mix of lace, feathers, silk and Swarovski, coming together gorgeously to create a sexy but playful finale.

And finally, we have been busy bees preparing for our Late Shows event 'Are You a Night Owl?'. After the great success of our 'Peep Show' event last year, 'Are You a Night Owl' is a great chance to get involved and dress up with your friends and family in our uniquely designed owl masks! Each designer taking part has created their own 'night owl' mask in the style of their own work. Pick  a mask, choose your setting (night in or night out) then get your photo taken by talented photographer, Jon Meikle. Will you be urban and colourful with Stu Borjberg? Romantic and serene with Katy Prints? Graphic and masculine with Dabble Dabble? There will be a few to choose from, and we'll even be popping the professional photos up on the blog and our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/F6.Studios. Hope to see you there!
